The CLEETS Global Center is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for our Annual Meeting, which will be co-located with the SRI Congress in Chicago. This event provides an excellent opportunity to showcase cutting-edge research to a global audience of experts, policymakers, and industry leaders dedicated to transportation solutions.

Abstract submission deadline: March 7, 2025
Abstract acceptance date: March 17, 2025
Conference Registration due date: April 1, 2025

Submission Guidelines

  • The abstract deadline is 7 March 2025. The authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by 17 March 2025.

    Competitive selection—Abstracts will be evaluated on merit.

    • We invite abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations related to the themes listed in the section below. (All submissions must adhere to the following guidelines)
    • Abstracts should be no more than 300 words.
    • Include a title, author(s), affiliation(s), and contact information.
    • Clearly indicate which Track(s) your abstract aligns with.
      Add titles as: Track X. TITLE of your Abstract
    • Submit your abstract here.

    Need-based and excellence-based travel funding is available!

    CLEETS has limited resources but will be able to cover registration and hotel accommodation for selected participants. For considerations, please apply here.

List of Tracks

and Track 1. Responding to Weather Hazards on Transportation: The increasing frequency of extreme weather events poses significant challenges to transportation infrastructure and mobility systems. This theme seeks research that advances:

  • simulations of meteorology and air quality,
  • assessing transport infrastructure for hazards,
  • and preparing road infrastructure for connected and automated vehicles.

Track 2. Solutions for Transport & Mobility Systems: As cities transition toward improved mobility, optimizing transport systems for efficiency is more critical than ever. This theme invites research on:

  • travel demand management,
  • fleet electrification,
  • user-behavior modeling,
  • and data-driven solutions for reducing transport emissions.

Track 3. Present and Future Energy Security & Policy for Transportation Sector: The integration of energy systems with transportation is key to achieving growth and prosperity. This theme explores:

  • policy frameworks,
  • emerging energy technologies such as hydrogen and electrification,
  • and strategies to create circular economies that support energy security

Track 4. Data Science for Transport and Energy: Enhancing Decision-Making Tools and Future Directions: Data-driven decision support tools are essential for optimizing transport infrastructure, reducing emissions, and informing policy. This theme seeks research on:

  • modeling frameworks,
  • public health and economic impact assessments,
  • and the development of governance structures for improved transportation solutions.

Registration is due April 1. Visa letters will be issued after registration.
